 WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A HOLIDAY AND HOW DO I APPLY?

Holidays for Heroes Jersey will offer a holiday to any member of the UK Armed Forces, past or present, who has suffered injury as a result of there service.

If you are eligible, simply go to the Holiday Weeks tab, choose your week and request your holiday. If your application is approved by your sponsor and we have availability, you will be coming to Jersey

WHO CAN CONFIRM MY APPLICATION?

For past members of the Armed Forces, the good offices of The Not Forgotten Association, Veterans U.K., SSAFA, Royal British Legion, BLESMA, SAMA, Gulf War Vets. Association, Blind Veterans UK, Combat Stress, P.R.U.’s, Help for Heroes etc are mainly used to identify those in of and deserving of a holiday. Nominations also come from many of the other established military welfare organisations.

For serving personnel. nominations are received from the Welfare Officers of all three services at Regiment, Squadron, Ship and P.R.U level and completed Information Forms are sent to us.

IF I HAVE VISITED PREVIOUSLY, CAN I APPLY AGAIN?

At the current time we are still receiving sufficient applications from first time applicants that we cannot offer previous guests a second holiday. If that situation changes, we will publicise it on our Facebook page and this website

WHAT DOES THE HOLIDAY COST?

There is no cost to the guest with travel and accommodation covered by the Charity. While you are in Jersey you may wish to participate in activities which we can arrange but do carry a cost. That cost will be clearly stated on the activities page

WHO CAN COME WITH ME?

We encourage guests to bring a partner of friend with them to help them enjoy the holiday. We also welcome children under the age of 16 as part of the family unit. Regrettably, we cannot accommodate older children.

I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, WILL THESE BE COVERED?

The Merton Hotel offers an excellent range of foods covering most tastes. Foods are clearly marked and the staff will happily assist you if you have any questions. Dinners are buffet based with an extensive choice, sufficient to please the pickiest family member.
