Having completed another succesful holiday year in September, we now move into planning and fundraising quarter so that we are able to continue to offer breaks here in Jersey. Today we have published next year's holiday weeks on our website, https://www.holsforheroesjersey.com/holiday-weeks. Booking will open at 09.00 on the 2nd January. To ensure that everyone is treated fairly, any applications received before this time will be rejected. Successful applicants will be informed by the end of January.
In each of the last three years, we have seen our costs rise by double digits which has resulted in our only being able to offer 6 holiday weeks in 2025, down from the normal 7. Each holiday week will see us welcome around 30 guests.
We know that demand for these holidays massively exceeds supply. Indeed we have received over 200 individual enquiries about 2025 holidays since the 2024 holiday year was fully booked. The terms of the Charity state that eligability for holidays is to have suffered injury in mind or body as a result of your service, but we would also ask that for those for whom a holiday in Jersey would be only one of several holidays next year, you consider whether you would prefer to leave it to a less fortunate colleague. For those who wish to join the holiday weeks under their own steam, please get in contact as we enjoy preferential rates at the hotel and will incorporate you into the holiday week
We continue to try to raise the necessary funds to offer more holidays and if we are fortunate enough to secure significant additional funding, we may be able to add a further holiday week. If we do, we will anounce it on our Facebook page.
