Slave Workers' Memorial
Time: 3pm to 4pm Location: Crematorium, Westmount
The annual 'wreath laying' ceremony takes place at the Crematorium, Westmount, in the presence of His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, the Bailiff and Chief Minister. It remembers the 101 foreign forced workers of different nationalities, whose average age was 31, who perished in Jersey during the Occupation. It is also a time for us to remember those service men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice to free the oppressed.
The event will also be attended by overseas officials and families of those affected. Members of the public are warmly welcome to attend
